The Egyptian conglomerate revealed new investments and partnerships totaling nearly half a billion dollars in the manufacturing of home appliances, electronics, and their components. These collaborations involve major international firms, including Japan’s Sharp and Hitachi, Italy’s La Germania and Hoover, and China’s TCL. This is in addition to ElAraby's proprietary brands: Egypt’s Tornado, Japan’s Kajito, and Germany’s Heller.
The announcement was made during a press conference attended
by Dr. Mamdouh Mahmoud ElAraby, Vice Chairman of the Board, along with
representatives from key partners, including Sharp Vice President Sugaharu, the
President of La Germania, and officials from Heller, Hoover, Hitachi, and TCL.
CEO Engineer Mohamed Mahmoud ElAraby also attended.
In his address, Engineer Mohamed ElAraby stated that the end
of the Toshiba home appliances agreement is a "natural progression in the
world of business and the restructuring of international partnerships."
He stressed that the Group remains "fully committed to
providing after-sales services for all products sold under the ElAraby
warranty. Fulfilling our commitment to our customers is a constant value that
does not change, regardless of the number of partnerships or the evolution of
investments, ElAraby affirmed.
He emphasized that ElAraby's success is not dependent on a
single brand, noting the group established the largest research and development
center in the Middle East, with investments exceeding EGP 3 billion, dedicated
to designing and developing home appliances and electronics.
"Our success has always been built on a clear vision,
strong industrial capacity, and the trust we have earned from the Egyptian
market and our international partners," he added.
Engineer Mohamed ElAraby highlighted the significant growth
achieved over the past five years, detailing the nearly half-a-billion-dollar
investment focused on manufacturing home appliances and components.
In addition to the aforementioned major brand partnerships
(Sharp, La Germania, Hoover, Heller, Hitachi, and TCL), the group also secured
several agreements for feeder industries with companies like:
Rechi (Taiwan): One of the world's largest compressor
manufacturers.
Toyoichi (Japan): For the manufacture of various types of
glass.
Shin Steel (Korea): For the slitting and cutting of sheet
metal.
Nex (Korea): For manufacturing refrigerator and freezer
evaporators.
Kore Company: For manufacturing and assembling washing
machine motors.
These initiatives are aimed at producing competitive products for both the local and global markets, with ElAraby targeting product launches in markets across Europe, Africa, and the Middle East.
