Engineer Sherif El Sherbiny, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, met with Dr. Khalfan bin Saeed Al Shueili, Oman's Minister of Housing and Urban Planning, on the sidelines of the 42nd session of the Arab Housing and Reconstruction Ministers' Council in Qatar.

The two ministers, joined by officials from both sides, discussed mechanisms for enhancing joint cooperation between Egypt and the Sultanate of Oman in the establishment and development of sustainable new cities.

At the beginning of the meeting, Minister El Sherbiny expressed his pleasure at meeting his Omani counterpart, emphasizing the deep and robust relations and historical ties between Egypt and Oman, which are constantly reaffirmed by the political leadership in both countries.

The discussion focused on opportunities for cooperation in urban development. The Omani side expressed significant interest in leveraging the pioneering Egyptian experience in establishing new cities and enhancing partnerships by benefiting from the expertise of Egyptian contracting companies.

Engineer El Sherbiny affirmed the readiness of the Egyptian state, represented by the Ministry of Housing, to share its expertise and transfer its successful urban development experiences, particularly in building and developing new cities, with Oman.
