The two ministers, joined by officials from both sides, discussed mechanisms for enhancing joint cooperation between Egypt and the Sultanate of Oman in the establishment and development of sustainable new cities.
At the beginning of the meeting, Minister El Sherbiny
expressed his pleasure at meeting his Omani counterpart, emphasizing the deep
and robust relations and historical ties between Egypt and Oman, which are
constantly reaffirmed by the political leadership in both countries.
The discussion focused on opportunities for cooperation in
urban development. The Omani side expressed significant interest in leveraging
the pioneering Egyptian experience in establishing new cities and enhancing
partnerships by benefiting from the expertise of Egyptian contracting
companies.
Engineer El Sherbiny affirmed the readiness of the Egyptian
state, represented by the Ministry of Housing, to share its expertise and
transfer its successful urban development experiences, particularly in building
and developing new cities, with Oman. He noted that Egypt's new city
experience, especially the Fourth Generation Cities, is considered a global
model.
El Sherbiny also accompanied the Omani Minister to the
Egyptian pavilion at the exhibition accompanying the Sixth Arab Ministerial
Forum for Housing and Sustainable Urban Development. He showcased Egypt's
leading projects, including the New Administrative Capital, New Alamein City,
the Al Fustat Hills Gardens Development project, and the presidential
initiative "Housing for All Egyptians".
At the close of the meeting, Minister Al Shueili expressed his strong admiration for the massive urban development witnessed in Egypt in recent years. He presented Engineer El Sherbiny with an honorary shield in appreciation of his role in the real estate sector.
