Housing: IBAN modification allowed for 2,512 reserved units

Ministry of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities has announced, in cooperation with the Egypt Real Estate Platform, that applicants can now easily and securely modify their bank account IBAN (International Bank Account Number) and National ID photo online, effective immediately (December 8).

This change, introduced for the current offering of 25,012 housing units, aims to enhance transparency and citizen data security. Previously, key data like the IBAN and personal identification attachments were locked as a security measure.

The Ministry emphasized the importance of ensuring the IBAN is correct, unique, and linked to an Egyptian Pound account, as errors or non-compliance could negatively affect the application review process and the timely refund of deposits.

Applicants are also reminded to upload a clear and correct National ID photo that matches the applicant's details. The file name for the ID photo must contain only English letters and no spaces or special symbols.

This offering is part of the second phase of a massive multi-phase housing project by the Ministry, which aims to deliver around 400,000 units. Total units in current phase are 25,012 units, and the deposit payment has begun on November 16, 2025, via the Egypt Real Estate Platform.

The units are distributed across several projects, including:

Janna and Sakan Masr: 2,986 units in New Mansoura and West Qena (LE 151,000 deposit).

Diyarna: 10,614 units in various new cities (LE 201,000 deposit).

Zelal: 9,412 units in cities including New Cairo and Sheikh Zayed (LE 251,000 deposit).

The Egypt Real Estate Platform has dedicated a hotline (17620) for support and inquiries regarding the application steps. Deposits can be paid using bank cards (Visa/Mastercard/Meeza), through several major banks, internet banking, or post offices.
