He reviewed the operations of the company’s branches and
warehouses in the governorates and the plans to enhance operational efficiency.
He examined the development of the distribution system to guarantee the
availability of high quality goods at reasonable prices for citizens. He
emphasized that the ministry is monitoring the implementation status on a daily
basis to ensure continuous fulfilment of needs throughout the season.
The meeting was attended by Major General Walid Abu El Magd,
Deputy Minister of Supply, Mostafa Ismail, Vice Chairman of the General
Authority for Supply Commodities, Hossam El Garahi, Assistant Minister for
Control Affairs, and Ahmed Kamal, Assistant Minister and official spokesperson
of the ministry. The meeting also included Khaled Kandil, Chairman of the Board
of the General Company for Wholesale Trade, and Khaled Diab, Chief Executive
Officer and Managing Director.
The company presented its plans to increase the supply of
goods to outlets and to develop operational mechanisms within its branches. It
also reviewed the progress of ongoing development projects aimed at enhancing
efficiency and supporting the supply and distribution system.
He affirmed that close monitoring of goods availability and
market stability is aligned with the directives of the political leadership. He
noted the strong emphasis placed on meeting the needs of citizens, especially
during Ramadan. He stressed the importance of continued coordination among
relevant authorities to ensure the availability of goods in adequate quantities
and at fair prices.
