The Minister reviewed reports and field visits covering residential buildings in New cities, including New Obour, New Assiut, New October, Hadayek October, and 15th of May.
El-Sherbiny stressed the importance of accelerating work
across all fronts, adhering strictly to completion deadlines, and maintaining continuous
on-site monitoring to ensure rapid execution and the highest standards of
quality in construction and overall appearance. He also mandated the
simultaneous completion of service projects alongside the residential units.
He affirmed that the Housing for All Egyptians units are
part of the state's ongoing efforts to provide fully serviced, modern housing
that suits all segments of society, supporting urban expansion and the goals of
sustainable development.
Urban Development Authority officials inspected major
projects in several locations:
Hadayek October City: Officials toured the 810-building
project, one of the largest under the initiative, which includes 19,560
residential units. The project is supported by a comprehensive suite of
services, including a youth center, nurseries, sports fields, six commercial
malls, a health unit, and four schools. They also checked on the 607-building
project, aimed at meeting the growing demand for housing.
New October City: Officials inspected the implementation of
approximately 14,000 "Green Housing" units under the initiative. This
project is highlighted as an advanced model for environmentally conscious,
economic housing, utilizing eco-friendly building materials and energy-efficient
designs. Finishing work is near completion, with focus on high-quality internal
and external finishes and color coordination for a standardized design.
Infrastructure and support facilities, such as schools, health units, and
commercial markets, are being completed concurrently.
New Assiut City: Officials reviewed progress, including
landscaping, the installation of interlocking pavement tiles, site
coordination, and internal/external finishing work on residential buildings.
15th of May City: The tour covered the Al-Narges project for
low-income housing, featuring 465 buildings with a total of 11,160 units. They
also monitored the Al-Quronfel project for middle-income housing, comprising 91
buildings with 2,184 units, emphasizing the need to maintain high standards of
finishes and utilities.
New Obour City: Inspections covered the Phase VI projects,
which include 125 buildings with 3,000 units. Officials monitored utility works
(water, sanitation, rough road grading) and exterior finishing. Progress was
also reviewed in Districts 15 and 16, which together contain over 27,300 units.
Furthermore, the Green Housing project in District 37, consisting of 143
buildings, was assessed to ensure construction rates align with approved
timelines.
Authorities confirmed that work on infrastructure and public services, including the construction of a school in District 16, is being pushed forward for timely delivery to serve the city's residents.
