The meeting addressed the ongoing cooperation with
Mitsubishi on the first phase of the fourth metro line. El-Etreby was briefed
on the progress made by the company in manufacturing the train cars and the
expected timeline for their shipment to Egypt.
The discussion also covered opportunities to localize the
manufacturing of transportation components in Egypt, including the
establishment of specialized training and maintenance centers and leveRaguing
technological education programs. These initiatives aim to enhance Mitsubishi's
ability to maintain a permanent presence in the Egyptian market and participate
in future projects.
The Egyptian ambassador also explored opportunities to
strengthen existing cooperation with Mitsubishi in the water desalination sector,
within the framework of the national program implemented by the state to expand
desalination plants.
The discussion further touched on potential collaboration
with the Japanese company in managing Egyptian airports. Both sides agreed to
maintain communication, with the embassy providing the necessary information
and data for these sectors.
