Prime Minister arrives in Johannesburg for 2025 G20 Summit

Prime Minister Dr. Moustafa Madbouly arrived Friday at O.R. Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg, South Africa, to head Egypt's delegation to the 2025 G20 Summit, acting on behalf of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.

The summit is scheduled to be held on Saturday and Sunday and will include the participation of Foreign Minister Dr. Badr Abdelatty.

Madbouly and his accompanying delegation were received by South African Public Service and Administration Minister Nkosi Mzamo Buthelezi and Egypt's Ambassador to South Africa, Ahmed Ali Sherif.

The Prime Minister is scheduled to attend the opening session of the 2025 G20 Summit hosted by South Africa, in addition to participating in a number of side sessions and the closing session of the summit. He will also attend a session dedicated by South African President Cyril Ramaphosa to African leaders participating in the summit.

Dr. Madbouly will hold meetings with a number of high-level African officials on the sidelines of the G20 summit, and will also meet with a number of prominent South African business leaders.
