The meeting addressed the establishment of a regional
Alibaba Group center within the Unified Procurement Authority's strategic
warehouses, aiming to serve the entire African continent.
The center will support and implement the African Pooled
Procurement Mechanism (APPM), enhancing integration across regional supply
chains and procurement systems.
It is also expected to position Egypt as a major logistics
gateway for Africa, supporting sustainable development and maximizing the
benefits of joint African initiatives.
