Hassan Allam wins new project in Iraq

El Nasr General Contracting Company (Hassan Mohamed Allam)—a subsidiary of the Holding Company for Construction and Development, under the Ministry of Public Business Sector—has successfully secured a tender to execute a project for the South Refineries Company, a subsidiary of the Iraqi Ministry of Oil, in Basra Governorate, Iraq, valued at nearly $40 million.

This achievement aligns with the company's strategy to expand into the Iraqi market and strengthen its presence in regional infrastructure and energy projects. It also supports the Ministry of Public Business Sector's strategy to develop and expand the operations of its contracting companies in foreign markets.

The bidding and awarding stages saw strong competition among several local and international companies. However, the consortium formed by Hassan Allam in cooperation with Sama Al Basra company won the project due to El Nasr Contracting’s specialized technical expertise and proven track record in executing major projects both within and outside Egypt. The company successfully met all technical requirements and standards, reinforcing its status as a trusted partner for implementing major projects in Iraq in the coming period.

In this context, Engineer Mohamed Shimi, Minister of Public Business Sector, asserted that this project underscores the efficiency, expertise, and competitive capabilities of the Ministry’s affiliated companies in regional and international markets.

He noted that this success represents an important step toward strengthening the Egyptian presence in regional development and infrastructure projects. It opens new horizons for national companies to expand internationally and actively participate in major projects that contribute to supporting the national economy.
