El Sherbiny follows up Decent Life rural development projects

Minister Sherif El Sherbiny held an expanded meeting at the Ministry of Housing headquarters in the New Administrative Capital with Major General Mokhtar Abdel Latif. The meeting followed up on the implementation status of the presidential initiative Decent Life for developing Egyptian rural villages. The meeting was attended by officials from the Ministry. Leaders from the Organization were present. Heads and representatives of factories and companies implementing the projects participated.

El Sherbiny affirmed the necessity of mobilising all resources to complete the projects in the villages of Decent Life within the set timelines in line with the directives of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi. The Minister stressed the need for intensified efforts from the implementing companies. The Minister directed the preparation of weekly progress reports. The Minister called for regular site visits. Continuous coordination between the Ministry and the Organization is required. The aim is achieving progress on the ground and adhering to project schedules.

He affirmed that the meeting reflects the commitment to follow up continuously on the implementation of projects within the initiative. The objective is accelerating completion in line with targeted plans.

Abdel Latif praised the cooperation between the Ministry of Housing and the Arab Organization for Industrialization. He stated that there are joint projects that must achieve the required targets within the framework of Decent Life.

The meeting reviewed the implementation status of projects carried out by the Ministry of Housing through the Holding Company for Water and Wastewater and the National Authority for Drinking Water and Wastewater. The review included wastewater projects under implementation in around thirty nine villages. The review included treatment plants and pumping stations in around seventeen villages. The meeting also reviewed the implementation status of two water purification plants in Aswan Governorate being implemented by the Holding Company as part of phase one of Decent Life.
