Tourism and Antiquities Minister Sherif Fathy confirmed that
all sectors of the ministry are working in full coordination with the relevant
authorities. The Minister said that this coordination aims to present the event
in a manner that reflects Egypt’s civilizational status. The Minister said that
GEM is the largest cultural and archaeological edifice in the world. The
Minister added that the preparation reflects the major efforts that were made
in this project. The Minister praised the close cooperation between the
relevant parties to ensure the success of this event that the entire world is
waiting for.
The Ministry said that hotel coordination is continuing to
follow up on the readiness of the hotels in Greater Cairo and in the different
tourist areas to host the distinguished guests participating in the
celebration. The Ministry confirmed the readiness of the hotels to provide the
highest levels of service and hospitality. The Ministry is reviewing all
details related to accommodation and reception and transportation of the
participating delegations to ensure an integrated experience at the highest
level of organization and quality.
The Ministry said that all archaeological sites and museums
in Greater Cairo and in the main tourist governorates continue to receive
visits from the participating delegations. The Ministry said that these visits
allow a closer look at the diversity and richness of the Egyptian tourist
destination. The Ministry said that this comes within the strategy of the Ministry
of Tourism and Antiquities to highlight this tourism diversity. The Ministry
said that this diversity qualifies the Egyptian destination to be the first in
the world.
