Major General Amr Abdel Wahab, the Chairperson and Managing Director of the Egyptian Countryside Development Company, met with Polish Ambassador to Cairo Michał Murkociński, at the company's headquarters in Cairo to discuss potential partnerships for Egypt's 1.5-million-feddan (approximately 1.575-million-acre) national development project.

The discussions focused on collaboration with leading Polish firms in agricultural mechanization, smart farming, food processing, and sustainable development. Dr. Engineer Venice Fayed, Advisor to the Chairman and Head of Business Development Sector at the Egyptian company, also attended.

The meeting underscores Egypt's push for international cooperation and foreign investment in one of its largest sustainable agricultural development initiatives.

Discussions explored the transfer of Poland's advanced expertise in smart farming technologies and agricultural mechanization, including the potential for manufacturing advanced agricultural tractors in Egypt with Polish know-how. The two sides also addressed expanding new and renewable energy projects within the development areas and bolstering value chains through agricultural and food processing partnerships.

They also discussed forming partnerships between specialized Polish institutions and companies and the investors and youth benefiting from the project lands, with the aim of boosting production efficiency and ensuring sustainability.

Abdel Wahab emphasized that the national project offers vast opportunities for serious and fruitful partnerships, describing it as an integrated model for modern agricultural development based on scientific and economic principles.

"We look forward to cooperating with the Polish side in agricultural technology, renewable energy generation, and food processing," Abdel Wahab said. "We welcome all initiatives that contribute to driving development and achieving food security for Egypt and the region."

Ambassador Murkociński lauded the Company's recent achievements and commended the project's ambitious vision.

"Poland possesses extensive experience in advanced agriculture and natural resource management, and we see real opportunities for joint cooperation in the short and medium term, especially given the strong relations between Cairo and Warsaw," Mr. Ambassador stated.

Both parties acknowledged the importance of exchanging technical and economic visits to establish concrete frameworks for cooperation. They also discussed the potential for Polish companies to participate in agricultural infrastructure development projects within the new Egyptian rural areas.

The meeting concluded with an agreement to form joint working teams. These teams will study investment opportunities presented by the Egyptian company and develop executive plans for future cooperation across various areas of the 1.5-million-feddan project.
