Housing Minister inspects progress of Fustat Hills Gardens project

Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny, Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities, conducted an inspection tour of the Fustat Hills Gardens project in Old Cairo. The visit began with a meeting with officials from the companies implementing the project to review progress and follow up on various aspects of the work. Senior officials from the Ministry and the Central Agency for Reconstruction attended the meeting.

During the meeting, the minister was briefed on the latest developments in the implementation of the project’s components and progress across the 500-acre site, including the investment zone, river zone, adventure zone, heritage zone, hill areas, and green spaces, along with other project elements.

El-Sherbiny also reviewed ongoing preparations for the upcoming celebration at the park. He directed the installation of clear signage to facilitate visitor movement and stressed the importance of adhering to safety measures.

The minister inspected the second phase of the heritage zone and instructed that all park facilities, including lighting poles and other installations, be completed in preparation for receiving visitors as soon as possible. He also emphasized setting a clear timetable for completing all works and maintaining continuous care for the park’s landscaping.

He directed the Ministry’s working team to continue regular monitoring and assessment of the ongoing works. He stressed the need to accelerate the pace of implementation, underlining the importance of field supervision, continuous follow-up, and full support to ensure the project’s timely completion.
