El-Sherbiny issues 29 decisions to remove building violations in new cities

Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny, Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities, issued 29 decisions to remove building violations and encroachments in several areas under the jurisdiction of the development authorities of the Tourist Villages, New Fayoum, Sadat, New Damietta, West Port Said, and the First Sector of the North West Coast. The move comes as part of ongoing efforts to eliminate illegal constructions, preserve the architectural character of new cities, and prevent encroachments on state-owned land.

El-Sherbiny said that the Ministry of Housing continues its efforts to remove violations and encroachments in new cities and urban communities. He added that regular campaigns are being carried out to prevent informal practices and maintain the civilized appearance of urban areas. He noted that clear directives have been issued to city heads and officials, stressing that enforcing these measures is their direct responsibility.

The violations included constructing buildings of varying heights and areas, establishing cemeteries, planting seasonal crops and trees, digging water wells, and building fences, in addition to increasing building ratios, adding concrete columns, and pouring front and rear setbacks without permits or legal authorization.
