El-Khatib affirmed that Egypt has an ambitious vision to develop its aviation sector as a cornerstone of economic growth and logistical integration. He noted that the government is working to link the air system with tourism, trade, and logistics services to make Egypt a regional hub for aviation and intercontinental services.
The Minister highlighted that recent economic reforms have
boosted global investor confidence, providing a stable and transparent
environment for long-term investments. He stressed that Cairo prioritizes
attracting leading global companies in technology, digital transformation, and
advanced infrastructure.
Boeing officials, in turn, expressed appreciation for
Egypt's economic and structural developments, as well as its financial and
institutional stability, affirming that the country is a "key
partner" in the company's regional expansion strategy.
They emphasized that the partnership with the Egyptian
government would deepen in the coming phase to develop the air transport and
commercial cargo system. This collaboration, they said, aligns with Egypt's
vision to increase exports and reinforce its role as a major trade and
logistics hub linking Africa, Asia, and Europe.
El-Khatib concluded by stressing that the cooperation with Boeing represents a successful model for international partnerships based on technology and knowledge, and affirmed the government's commitment to expanding investment and enhancing the national economy's competitiveness in high-value-added sectors.
