Dr. Khaled Soufi, Chairman of EOS, stated that the
achievement comes in line with directives from Lieutenant General Kamel Al
Wazir, Deputy Prime Minister for Industrial Development and Minister of
Industry and Transport. He explained that the initiative supports Egyptian
industry and enhances the competitiveness of local products, consistent with
the state’s vision for sustainable industrial development and boosting exports
to global markets.
Soufi added that the Green Label also reflects the Egyptian
industrial sector’s awareness of the importance of responsible practices. It
serves as a model for other Egyptian companies across different sectors. He
stressed that EOS will continue to promote a culture of quality and adherence
to standards, while working to expand the Green Label initiative to more
products and industries. This, he said, will strengthen the position of
Egyptian industry locally, regionally, and internationally, and reinforce
consumer confidence in Egyptian products as safe and environmentally friendly.
Engineer Ekram Saeed, Head of the Environmental Performance
Unit at EOS, noted that awarding the Green Label to paints is an important step
toward broadening the range of Egyptian products certified under the program.
She confirmed that her unit is providing continuous technical support to
companies seeking to transition to sustainable production.
Officials from Pachin stressed that obtaining the first
Green Label for paints in Egypt crowns the company’s ongoing efforts to develop
innovative products that meet the highest standards of quality and
environmental safety. They affirmed that Pachin will continue to expand its
eco-friendly solutions in line with national policies and global market trends.
