The visit included a review of the factory’s achievements in
manufacturing dialysis supplies in line with the highest local and
international standards. Discussions also addressed ways to enhance cooperation
to support and develop the healthcare sector in Egypt. This comes in line with
the state’s vision to improve service quality and ensure access to the latest
medical solutions and technologies for both patients and healthcare
professionals.
El-Ghamrawy reaffirmed the EDA’s commitment to supporting
local investment in medical supplies. He explained that the authority is
working continuously to streamline and complete regulatory procedures. These
efforts aim to create an attractive investment climate and ensure wider
availability of advanced medical devices and products in the Egyptian market.
He stressed that ensuring the sustainable availability of
high-quality dialysis supplies is a top priority for the authority. He added
that this directly contributes to meeting patients’ needs and strengthening the
healthcare system.
Officials from Wadi El-Nile Ashito Pharmaceuticals praised the
pivotal role played by the EDA in supporting the medical supplies industry,
especially in the field of dialysis. They confirmed that the authority’s
efforts in facilitating procedures and providing a flexible regulatory
environment have significantly enhanced the factory’s capabilities. This has
also helped improve product quality in line with international standards,
ensuring patients’ needs are met and healthcare services are upgraded.
The EDA delegation included Dr. Amani Gawdat, Assistant to
the Chairman and Supervisor of the Central Administration of the Chairman’s
Office; Dr. Osama Hatem, Assistant to the Chairman and Supervisor of the
Central Administration for Pharmaceutical Policies and Market Support; Dr.
Mohab Fady, Head of the Central Administration for Pharmaceutical Institutions
Licensing; and Dr. Doaa Mahrous, Director General of the Medical Supplies
Registration Department.
Representing the factory were Counselor Dr. Amr Abdel Razek,
Chairman of the Board; Major General Mohamed Dabour, Vice Chairman; and Dr.
Mostafa Fawzy Abdel Baky, Executive Director and Factory Manager.
