During the tour, the minister reviewed expansion works on
the axis, road and lighting upgrades, as well as progress on utility,
electricity, and wastewater networks. He was also briefed on paving works and
urban coordination efforts for connecting roads to ensure smoother traffic flow
and stronger links with the city’s main thoroughfares.
El-Sherbiny stressed the importance of the North 90th Axis
in strengthening the city’s infrastructure, emphasizing adherence to the set
timetable and quality standards to bring the project into service swiftly and
efficiently. He noted that the development will ease traffic movement and
enhance services for New Cairo residents.
Engineer Abdel Raouf El-Ghaity, Head of the New Cairo City
Authority, explained that the project is part of a comprehensive plan to
upgrade the city’s road and transport network, serving both residential and
commercial areas. He confirmed that the permanent utilities committee is
closely monitoring implementation to ensure compliance with the highest quality
standards.
The minister concluded his tour by reaffirming the
ministry’s commitment to continue developing New Cairo’s road network and
modernizing infrastructure, reflecting the state’s efforts to provide
integrated urban services and ensure safe and smooth mobility for all road
users.
