Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities Sherif El-Sherbiny held a meeting to review the status of electricity supply for water and wastewater stations in new cities and governorates. The meeting was attended by officials from the New Urban Communities Authority (NUCA), the Holding Company for Water and Wastewater, and its subsidiaries.

El-Sherbiny reviewed the current electricity supply status for drinking water pumping stations, water treatment plants, sewage pumping stations, and wastewater treatment plants in new cities, as well as facilities operated by the Holding Company through its 17 subsidiaries across governorates.

He directed efforts to secure electricity supply for all water and wastewater facilities in coordination with the Ministry of Electricity and Renewable Energy, stressing the need for backup generators to operate during emergencies. He also instructed the preparation of a detailed report on all facilities, outlining their electricity supply status and requirements for securing continuous power, including generator needs for each facility.
