New Protocol aims to promote Egyptian real estate abroad

Housing Minister Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny and the Secretary-General of the Arab Engineers Union, Adel El-Hedithi, signed a cooperation protocol to boost the export of Egyptian real estate.

The agreement, signed at the ministry's headquarters in the New Administrative Capital, aims to leverage the union's network to promote Egyptian real estate in Arab markets, attract foreign investment, and increase the country's non-traditional economic resources. Representatives from engineering syndicates and institutions from 18 Arab countries attended the ceremony.

El-Sherbiny stated that the protocol is a significant step toward making Egyptian real estate an integrated export industry, moving beyond a local activity. He highlighted the government's success in creating diverse real estate investment opportunities, including numerous smart cities, to meet the needs of all developers and investors.

He added that Egyptian real estate is no longer just buildings but a developmental and investment message reflecting the country's comprehensive urban renaissance. He also stressed that cooperation with other Arab nations is a strategic priority supported by the political leadership.

El-Hedithi praised the cooperation, stating that it reflects both sides' commitment to enhancing institutional collaboration and exchanging technical and professional expertise.

The head of the Omani Engineers Association, Fouad El-Kindi, lauded the role of Egyptian companies and developers in Oman's urban development, highlighting their expertise and efficiency. Meanwhile, the head of the Palestinian Engineers Syndicate, Magdy Saleh, thanked Egypt for its support of Palestine and praised the quality of Egyptian companies in implementing real estate projects.
