NTRA introduces new payment options via telephony app

The National Telecom Regulatory Authority (NTRA) announced the addition of new payment methods through the " Telephony " app. This aims to facilitate the process of registering and paying mobile phone device fees based on their International Mobile Equipment Identity (IMEI) and improving the user experience, enhancing the efficiency of the new digital system and keeping pace with the state's drive towards digital transformation.

Currently available payment methods include bank cards from all banks, in addition to the possibility of direct payment through branches of some banks, including the National Bank of Egypt, the United Bank, the Egyptian Arab Land Bank, and the Export Development Bank of Egypt. Payment through the "Khadamati" network has also been added, a collection network with electronic payment machines at a large number of outlets and merchants spread across various governorates. In addition, e-wallets affiliated with telecommunications companies and the "Meeza" card have been activated as a flexible and secure payment method.

The NTRA confirms the continued activation of bank cards as a primary method within this system, while expanding the availability of various payment methods to suit the needs of all users. To register a device and pay fees through the " Telephony " app, the user opens the app and selects the "Device Fee Payment" service, then enters the IMEI number of the device to be registered, and chooses the appropriate payment method. Users can pay immediately using a bank card, e-wallet, or Meeza card, or choose "Pay Later" to obtain a payment code and use it to pay through bank branches or authorized outlets of the "My Services" network.

This update comes as part of the NTRA's commitment to facilitating procedures and providing advanced digital services that support the safe and fair use of mobile devices in the Egyptian market.
