Fustat Hills Park project backed by strong political will

Prime Minister Dr. Moustafa Madbouly today reviewed the advancements in the Fustat Hills Park project, following an earlier inspection of the Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) system

He was accompanied by Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, Dr. Ibrahim Saber, Governor of Cairo, Major General Engineer Mahmoud Nassar, Head of the Central Agency for Reconstruction, Engineer Khaled Seddik, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Urban Development Fund, and officials from the Ministry, the Fund, and the consulting office. The visit follows two days of field tours, including a stop at the Sukari gold mine.

Dr. Madbouly announced that the 500-feddan Fustat Hills Park, Cairo's future largest central park, is in its final stages, with completion expected within weeks. Simultaneously, the management and operation of the park have been tendered to specialized companies.

He emphasized that the park's realization, envisioned since 2007, is a result of strong political will and consistent oversight. He recalled the area's transformation from a polluted swamp into a significant "green lung" for Egypt and the world, set to offer diverse commercial, cultural, and recreational amenities for Greater Cairo.

The Prime Minister highlighted this project as a key addition to the ongoing comprehensive development efforts in Greater Cairo, encompassing transportation and housing initiatives.
