Fathy
congratulated his Turkish counterpart on the selection of the Turkish city of
Antalya as the first tourist city for the D8 group of member states for 2025.
The two sides discussed a proposal to organize a joint workshop in Egypt in the coming months, bringing together representatives of the private tourism sector from both Egypt and Turkey, with the aim of boosting tourism activity and enhancing joint tourism investment opportunities.
The
meeting also addressed the North Coast, particularly the New Alamein City, as
one of Egypt's promising tourist destinations, particularly in light of its
infrastructure development and significant investment opportunities, which will
enhance its position on the international tourism map.
This meeting came as a continuation of the meeting held by the Minister during his last visit to the Turkish capital, Ankara, last February with the Turkish Minister to discuss ways to enhance future cooperation between the two countries in the field of tourism and antiquities.
