Madbouly inspects Egypt's future sustainable development projects

Dr. Moustafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, began a field tour of the Egypt Future for Sustainable Development Authority's projects in the New Delta on the Tahya Misr axis today, Monday.

Dr. Madbouly was accompanied by Lieutenant General Kamel El-Wazir, Deputy Prime Minister for Industrial Development and Minister of Industry and Transport, Dr. Hani Sweilam, Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation,  Mahmoud Esmat, Minister of Electricity and Renewable Energy, Dr. Sherif Farouk, Minister of Supply and Internal Trade; Alaa El-Din Farouk, Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation, Hassan El-Khatib, Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade, Major General Ahmed Al-Azazy, Head of the Armed Forces Engineering Authority, and officials from several ministries, relevant agencies, and supporting companies.

Madbouly was received by Dr. Bahaa El-Din El-Ghannam, Executive Director of the Egypt Future for Sustainable Development Authority.

He signed the visitor's book for the Egypt Future for Sustainable Development Authority, expressing his happiness and honor to visit the national projects undertaken by the Authority. He expressed his wishes for success for all those in charge of the Authority in their great work and projects serving our beloved country, Egypt.

He stated that this field visit to the agency's headquarters comes within the framework of the significant role played by the Egypt Future for Sustainable Development Agency to implement projects aimed at providing high-quality agricultural products at reasonable prices to citizens, achieving food security through strategic commodities, and exporting surpluses abroad. He noted that President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi regularly monitors all the agency's efforts.

The Prime Minister said, "The government is working to implement the President's directives to support these projects through specific mechanisms, most notably enhancing the efficiency of the irrigation system, establishing silos for storing crops and grains, increasing the use of modern technology in land reclamation, and developing agricultural mechanization systems."

He added, "Providing various means of support for these projects comes within the framework of the Egyptian state's plan to expand agricultural land, increase agricultural production, and seek to link these projects with the government's efforts to achieve comprehensive economic development in various fields."

Madbouly also stressed the significant cooperation and coordination between the various relevant ministries and the Egypt Future for Sustainable Development Agency in various fields, particularly with regard to the status of the strategic stock of commodities and food. This is to ensure safe reserves of various commodities and to continue efforts to increase their reserves. He emphasized the need for continued coordination and integration between various government agencies and the agency to meet the country's strategic needs, contributing to food security and strengthening Egypt's position as a regional hub for agricultural commodity trade.
