Hisham Talaat: Only Egyptian in Top 10 Middle East Real Estate influencers 2025

Forbes Middle East magazine has selected Egyptian businessman Hisham Talaat Moustafa, CEO and Managing Director of Talaat Moustafa Group Holding, in its list of the Most Influential Real Estate Company Leaders in the Middle East for 2025. This recognition consolidates his position in the real estate sector in the region, acknowledging him as one of the most prominent and successful real estate developers who have actively contributed to achieving urban development in Egypt and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Hisham Talaat Moustafa ranked fourth in the list of the Most Influential Real Estate Company Leaders in the Middle East for 2025, becoming the only Egyptian in the top ten. He advanced from seventh place in 2024 to fourth place this year, following his success in launching significant real estate and tourism projects, notably SouthMED on the North Coast of Egypt and Banan in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This success propelled the group's sales volume to exceed half a trillion Egyptian pounds for the first time for an Egyptian real estate company.

Forbes magazine listed the achievements of businessman Hisham Talaat Moustafa, who has over 40 years of experience. In 2024, he succeeded in increasing the real estate group's sales by nearly threefold, reaching $10 billion, after selling more than 29,000 units. This growth was attributed to the launch of two major projects: Banan project in Saudi Arabia and SouthMED project on the North Coast of Egypt.

Hisham successfully completed the acquisition of Legacy Hotels and Tourism Projects, adding 7 historic hotels in Egypt and expanding their hotel room capacity to 5,000. This strategic move resulted in a remarkable 225% jump in hospitality sector revenues, reaching $255 million in 2024. As of March 2025, the Group's total land holdings for projects amounted to 107 million square meters.

The 2025 list of "Most Influential Real Estate Company Leaders in the Middle East" comprises 42 leaders based in the UAE, followed by 21 from Saudi Arabia and 16 from Egypt.
