Ambassador Mohamed El-Shennawy, presidential spokesperson, stated that the two leaders inspected the station, reviewing the facilities and services designed to benefit millions of Egyptian commuters. They also took a tour of the Cairo Metro's third line.
He added that President El-Sisi commended the strong
transportation cooperation between Egypt and France. He expressed appreciation
for the involvement of various French companies in transportation projects
within Egypt, particularly in the Greater Cairo area, which is facilitating a
significant improvement in mass transit options. The President also reiterated
Egypt's commitment to localizing transportation industries and increasing the
use of domestic components in ongoing projects, emphasizing the importance of
adhering to project timelines.
El-Shennawy further noted that President Macron expressed his admiration for the advanced state of Egypt's transportation sector. He lauded the modernization and development of infrastructure and transport systems, and affirmed France's eagerness to participate in future development projects.
