He also underscored the promising opportunities offered by the Suez Canal Economic Zone, which serves as a strategic hub for new and renewable energy projects and related infrastructure.
Officials from Kyuden International presented an overview of the company’s international experience in the energy sector. They noted that Kyuden holds a 40% stake in the “Abidos 2” solar power and energy storage project in Aswan, implemented in partnership with AMEA Power and supported by the International Finance Corporation (IFC).
The company expressed strong interest in expanding its presence in Egypt, particularly in solar and wind energy, energy storage solutions, gas, electricity transmission, and green hydrogen
Both sides agreed to maintain close coordination in the coming period. The embassy reaffirmed its readiness to provide full support and facilitate the company’s planned expansion in the Egyptian market. The two parties also discussed the possibility of dispatching a technical delegation to Cairo later this year to explore investment opportunities and strengthen cooperation with relevant Egyptian authorities.
