Sherbiny toured the exhibition pavilions, which showcase
global innovations in drinking water treatment, seawater desalination, solid
waste management, recycling, and smart monitoring systems for utilities.
The Egyptian delegation seeks to engage with major
international companies to discuss localizing water-related industries in
Egypt. This strategy aims to reduce project costs, support local manufacturing,
and attract foreign investment by highlighting incentives offered to the
private sector.
IFAT Saudi Arabia 2026, the Saudi edition of the global IFAT
Munich trade fair, serves as a leading platform for water management, sewage
treatment, and waste recycling solutions. Running from January 26 to 28, the
event features over 450 exhibitors from 35 countries and is expected to attract
more than 18,000 visitors.
The exhibition also hosts a high-level summit, providing a strategic platform for ministers and global executives to discuss national water strategies, waste management, and the balance between economic growth and environmental protection.
