Zaki explained that the platform, which the Ministry of Investment and International Trade plans to launch within the next two weeks in cooperation with the Information and Decision Support Center (IDSC), will enhance the efficiency of the export system by providing accurate and up-to-date information on foreign markets, export opportunities, and procedures. This will reduce time and costs while boosting the competitiveness of Egyptian products.
He added that linking the platform in its second phase to
the Commercial Representation Authority, which includes 44 offices worldwide,
as announced by Minister of Investment and International Trade Hassan
El-Khatib, will provide a fully integrated digital framework. This will enable
exporters to directly access services, technical support, and market
information from original sources, thereby strengthening access to African and
international markets.
Zaki also highlighted that the Cabinet’s approval of the
executive regulations for the additional pillars of the Export Cost
Reimbursement Program reflects a clear move towards more sustainable export
support. These pillars include training and capacity building, quality and
environmental sustainability certifications, modernization of machinery and
equipment, support for express and air shipping, support for exports under
Egyptian brands, exports to target markets, support for exports to Iraq,
Europe, and the United States, as well as development in Upper Egypt and border
regions.
He emphasized that the integration between the “Egypt Trade”
platform and export support programs will create a more transparent and
efficient business environment, enhancing opportunities to increase exports and
attract investments in the coming period.
