WEF CEO: Egypt offers promising investment opportunities

President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi met today, Wednesday, in Davos with Børge Brende, President and CEO of the World Economic Forum (WEF).

Presidential Spokesman Ambassador Mohamed El-Shenawy stated that the President expressed his appreciation for the pivotal role played by the World Economic Forum as a high-level international platform for dialogue and exchange of views among world leaders, international officials, private sector representatives, and leading global companies, aimed at strengthening joint cooperation in addressing global challenges and supporting comprehensive development pathways.

The President also commended this year’s Forum agenda for focusing on pressing issues that reflect the growing need to deepen international cooperation, keeping pace with rapid transformations, and ensuring their utilization in ways that achieve prosperity and benefit for all peoples worldwide.

Ambassador El-Shenawy added that Brende, in turn, expressed his appreciation to the President for his participation in this year’s Forum. He highlighted the WEF’s commitment to dedicating a special session to Egypt, aimed at presenting the Egyptian vision for addressing the challenges facing the Middle East and efforts to restore regional peace and security.

Brende also praised the efforts exerted by Egypt, and the President personally, in consolidating regional stability.

The Forum’s CEO affirmed his eagerness to continue coordination and cooperation with the Egyptian government across various fields, supporting economic development, increasing growth rates, and enhancing the state’s efforts to attract investments, given the attractive opportunities offered by the Egyptian market.
