The boost came after the recent connection of the Iris-5 well to the production line, adding 2,000 barrels per day to the total output, the Cabinet's media center said in a statement.
The center added that cooperation with investment partner,
Italian firm Eni, has helped apply the latest technologies, supported by 3D
seismic surveys. This collaboration has opened new prospects for exploiting the
potential of the Western Desert by maximizing the benefit from the geological
formation known as "Al-Masaged." This work led to the discovery of
both the Iris and Arcadia West fields and has enhanced their production.
Agiba Petroleum has also made the "Durra" discovery, where drilling confirmed successful oil shows in the same geological formation. The Durra well is currently being prepared for production. This discovery reflects the extension of promising geological formations into previously unexplored areas, paving the way for the drilling of new wells.
