The visit to the GASCO headquarters aimed to ensure a stable flow of gas to various sectors, especially electricity, as demand surged due to a heatwave.
Badawy confirmed the network’s readiness for any emergencies
and received a detailed briefing from GASCO's chairman, Yasser Salah El Din.
The briefing covered the network's operational readiness and scenarios for
responding to sudden increases in consumption.
The Minister also reviewed the continuous gas supply from
Floating Storage and Regasification Units (FSRUs) to ensure the network's
complete stability.
Badawy stressed the importance of proactive coordination
with the electricity sector to meet citizens' needs, highlighting the
integration between state sectors.
He thanked the control center staff and all petroleum sector teams for their efforts in executing the plans to secure the gas supply system ahead of the summer season.
