Agriculture Minister praises integrated farm project

Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation, Alaa Farouk, and Sharqia Governor Engineer Hazem El-Ashmouny, inspected El-Salhia agricultural project, a major integrated farming venture in New El-Salhia City.

The project, which spans 21,000 feddans, includes diverse agricultural and livestock production, poultry and fish farms, and various complementary industries. It is irrigated by eight water stations and incorporates modern irrigation and advanced mechanization.

Farouk lauded the project as a successful model for integrated agricultural investment that helps achieve food security. He highlighted the project's role in creating jobs, supporting the local economy, and showcasing the Egyptian agricultural sector's capacity for development and innovation.

The Minister stressed the government's commitment to supporting serious investors in the agricultural sector, noting that the state has taken steps to improve the investment climate. He underscored the importance of public-private partnerships in implementing integrated agricultural and industrial projects to boost the national economy.

The Minister emphasized the ministry's commitment to supporting serious investors in the agricultural sector. He highlighted that the state has taken significant steps to improve the investment climate and encourage private investment, aligning with the national vision for expanding agricultural production and ensuring food security.

Farouk noted that the private sector is crucial for sustainable agricultural development. He added that Egypt's leadership, under President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, is dedicated to creating a supportive environment for private businesses by ensuring security and providing necessary assistance. This approach, he explained, promotes integrated agricultural investments and underscores the importance of public-private partnerships in driving national economic growth and achieving sustainable development.

Governor El-Ashmouny praised the minister's visit and the ministry's efforts to support agricultural development and solve farmers' problems. He emphasized the "unprecedented boom" in the agricultural sector, which he attributed to the political leadership's focus on food security and self-sufficiency.

El-Ashmouny also called for stronger cooperation between the governorate and El-Salhia Company for Investment and Development to establish more outlets for the company's products. He said this would allow citizens to buy goods at prices lower than the market, in line with the state's plan to provide affordable products.
