Badawi outlined Egypt's ongoing efforts to develop its
mining sector, emphasizing the ministry's drive to create an attractive
investment environment through clear legislation and a competitive climate. He
highlighted strategic initiatives, including a phosphoric acid project, as an
example of maximizing added value from mineral raw materials.
Badawi also lauded Saudi Arabia's International Mining
Conference, stressing the potential for Egypt to learn from the Kingdom's
successes. He pointed to promising prospects in southern Egypt, where seismic
surveys are underway to boost exploration and investment.
Al-Mudaifer expressed his satisfaction with participating in
the Egypt Mining Forum, commending the strong attendance and interest from
stakeholders. He underscored the vast shared mining potential between Egypt and
Saudi Arabia, noting that their geographical proximity fosters greater
opportunities for integration and cooperation with international partners.
Al-Mudaifer also praised Egypt's serious steps towards developing its mining sector, highlighting the Red Sea region as a promising investment opportunity capable of attracting global investment and enhancing bilateral cooperation.
