Egypt launches "Sail to Egypt" campaign to boost yacht tourism

Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities, represented by the Egyptian Tourism Promotion Authority, has launched a new promotional campaign under the slogan "Sail to Egypt" to promote yacht tourism. The campaign will run across prominent global digital platforms, including Instagram, YouTube, and Google search, aiming to attract tourists interested in this luxury travel segment.

Minister of Tourism and Antiquities Sherif Fathy stated that the campaign aligns with President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi's directives to maximize yacht tourism and is consistent with the ministry's current strategy, "Egypt... Unrivaled Diversity," which seeks to promote Egypt's diverse tourist attractions, products, and patterns.

Fathy highlighted Egypt's extensive coastlines on both the Red Sea and the Mediterranean, modern marinas, stunning natural beauty, and enchanting beaches, positioning it as an ideal yachting destination with a competitive edge regionally and internationally.

Engineer Ahmed Youssef, Assistant Minister for Strategic Departments and Acting CEO of the Egyptian Tourism Promotion Authority, stated that the campaign includes creating innovative content and promotional materials. These will highlight Egypt's key maritime tourism assets, such as modern marinas, tourist islands, coastal cities, and various activities available for visitors sailing to Egypt. He noted that the campaign targets high-spending tourists seeking luxurious and exceptional experiences.

Suzan Moustafa, Director General of the Tourism Promotion Department at the Authority, explained that the campaign will run for two months. It will also be featured in leading international yachting magazines, including Super Yacht magazine, where Egypt's yacht tourism product is set to be featured in its upcoming September issue.

Moustafa added that the campaign targets yachting enthusiasts through social media, search engine queries related to top global yachting destinations, and editorial coverage in specialized magazines.

This campaign is part of the ministry's ongoing efforts to promote yacht tourism. The Authority regularly participates in specialized yachting exhibitions, including the Boot International Boat Show in Düsseldorf, Germany, and the Monaco Yacht Show and Conference in Monaco.
