El-Sherbiny said the Ministry continues its efforts to
implement the directives of the political leadership to provide decent housing
for every citizen. He explained that the Ministry is implementing various types
of housing units across new cities in line with the highest quality standards.
These efforts support the state’s goals of comprehensive urban development and
contribute to achieving the vision of the New Republic.
The Minister added that the Ministry aims to make all
procedures for applying and obtaining housing units easier. It also seeks to
provide a smooth and organized handover experience for beneficiaries while
addressing any remarks that may arise during the delivery stages.
Engineer Ahmed Rashad, Head of the New Cairo City
Development Authority, stated that a new batch of “Sakan Misr” units will be
delivered in the Exhibition Grounds area, District 1. The batch includes serial
numbers 3, 4, and 5 from the first phase, and serial number 2 for all phases
following the first phase. Units in Building 12 will be handed over on Monday,
October 13, 2025. Units in Building 13 will follow on Wednesday, October 15,
then Building 19 on Monday, October 20, and Building 7 on Wednesday, October
22.
He added that Building 6 will be handed over on Monday,
October 27, followed by Building 18 on Wednesday, October 29, and Building 20
on Monday, November 3, 2025.
Rashad explained that beneficiaries of the residential units
should go to the Housing and Development Bank branch in Nasr City at 2 Abbas
El-Akkad Street to complete the contracting procedures. Afterward, they should
head to the City Authority with the original bank letter and a copy of the
signed checks to register their data and receive a handover letter to inspect
and collect their units.
