Foundever international company opens new center in Luxor

Minister of Communications and Information Technology Dr. Amr Talaat and Luxor Governor Engineer Abdel Mottaleb Emara inaugurated a new customer experience (CX) and outsourcing services center for the global company Foundever in Luxor governorate.

The opening, attended by Foundever co-founder and CEO Laurent Uberti and ITIDA CEO Engineer Ahmed Elzaher, marks the company's first foray into Upper Egypt, reflecting its commitment to expanding in the Egyptian market. The move aligns with Egypt’s strategy to build a robust outsourcing and cross-border services industry, develop digital skills, and create jobs for youth across the country.

Speaking at the event, Dr. Talaat called Foundever’s choice of Luxor a "decisive proof" of the governorate’s human resources, which possess specialized skills in IT.

He emphasized that skilled Egyptian talent is not confined to Cairo but extends across the country. He added that the outsourcing sector is a promising industry offering successful career paths for Egyptian youth.

Dr. Talaat described outsourcing as a key industry supporting Egyptian economic growth, pointing to state efforts to foster the sector nationwide by providing specialized training programs. The new center allows youth in Upper Egypt to secure employment in one of the world's fastest-growing industries.

"Integrating the people of Upper Egypt into the digital economy contributes to their social and economic empowerment," Minister Talaat said, adding that it helps them contribute to their local communities by providing new career paths that leverage their language skills and offer broader employment alternatives.

Governor Emara expressed his delight at the opening of Foundever’s third branch in Egypt, noting it marks the start of the outsourcing industry in Luxor, complementing the region’s traditional reliance on tourism and manufacturing. He praised the local youth working at the company, who graduated from various academic fields and chose to work in IT.

Uberti, Foundever CEO and co-founder, said Egypt has proven to be one of our fastest-growing and most vibrant markets.

"The opening of our first center in Upper Egypt reflects our great confidence in the governorate’s capabilities, its exceptional young people, their potential, skills, and innovative spirit," he said, adding that Luxor will be a "key pillar" in realizing the company's global vision for the future of customer experience services.

ITIDA CEO Elzaher said expanding outsourcing centers outside major cities is a core part of the agency's strategy to support industry growth across the nation. He highlighted the sector’s ability to attract foreign direct investment and provide sustainable job opportunities.

Elzaher noted this approach not only creates quality jobs but also benefits investors by distributing their centers across multiple cities, which enhances operational efficiency and leverages the lower employee turnover and higher job loyalty found in the governorates compared to Cairo.

Foundever's new Luxor center is part of its Egyptian expansion plan. The company currently employs more than 2,000 specialists in Egypt and aims to increase that number to 5,000 within three years. Its existing operations in Cairo, spread across the Maadi Technology Park and City Stars complex, saw 115% growth last year.

The company currently serves 15 international clients in more than 14 languages, reinforcing Egypt’s status as a leading destination for multilingual services. The Luxor center currently employs 240 specialists, with a goal to increase that number to 400 by 2026.

The new center aligns with Foundever's strategy to integrate Artificial Intelligence (AI) into all stages of the customer experience, empowering young talent to use the latest tools, such as conversational AI and smart automation.

Benedetta Miranda, Foundever’s Executive Director of Operations for Europe, Middle East, and Africa, called the Luxor center a strategic step in our expansion path and a confirmation of the company's commitment to investing in the Egyptian market.

Foundever Egypt CEO Mena Wahba said the opening of the first CX center in Upper Egypt is a significant milestone that reflects the commitment to creating quality job opportunities for youth near their hometowns and enhancing social and economic development.

Foundever is a leading global CX and contact center services provider, employing over 150,000 people worldwide. It offers specialized services in more than 60 languages across 45 countries to over 800 leading global brands, mostly in the technology sector.
