El-Sherbiny explained that the Social Housing and Mortgage
Finance Fund extended the application period several times in response to
citizens’ requests. This gave applicants enough time to complete the required
documents and pay the reservation deposit.
Mai Abdel Hamid, CEO of the Social Housing and Mortgage
Finance Fund, confirmed that the application period for the second phase of the
initiative will not be extended again. She stressed that this is the last
chance for citizens to apply.
She noted that citizens who registered online must pay the
reservation deposit at automated post offices. Failure to complete all the
procedures outlined in the booklet means the application will not be officially
considered or reviewed.
Abdel Hamid revealed that more than 155,000 citizens have
already paid their deposits through automated post offices. Over 10,000
citizens have applied online but have not yet completed payment.
She added that citizens who need assistance with payment,
account registration on the Digital Egypt platform, login issues, pending
applications under review, downloading booklets, attaching files, or resolving
technical errors should contact the Digital Egypt platform customer service
center.
