Gold prices in Egypt saw an increase on Thursday, September 25, 2025, with the price of a 24-karat gold gram reaching 5,782 Egyptian pounds.

The latest gold prices in Egypt are as follows:

24-karat: 5,782 EGP/grams

21-karat: 5,060 EGP/grams

18-karat: 4,337 EGP/grams

Gold Pound: 40,480 EGP

The slight uptick in local and international gold prices on Wednesday was driven by minor fluctuations in the global market price per ounce.

This comes after the U.S. Federal Reserve announced its first interest rate cut of 2025, lowering rates by 25 basis points to a new range of 4% to 4.25%. The move follows pressure from U.S. President Donald Trump to stimulate the economy, even as Fed Chairman Jerome Powell maintains a cautious stance.
