The embassy noted that the ambassador was accompanied by
representatives from several major U.S. companies, including Alvarez &
Marsal Holdings, Aviva, Bechtel, Cisco, Hill International, OSI Rapiscan, and
TMEIC.
According to the embassy, the visit focused on how U.S.
innovation and technology can support port development, enhance trade, create
new job opportunities, and open new horizons for both Egyptians and Americans.
The embassy added that the delegation’s visits reflect the
depth of the growing economic partnership between Egypt and the United States.
More than 1,800 U.S. companies operate in Egypt, with bilateral trade reaching
$12.4 billion in 2024.
Ambassador Garg expressed her gratitude to the Egyptian Ministry
of Transport and Lt Gen. Kamel Al-Wazir, Deputy Prime Minister for Industrial
Development and Minister of Industry and Transport, for their support in
ensuring the success of the visit.
