The Cabinet’s Media Center reported that Egypt contributes an estimated 2% of the global freelance workforce.
It added that Egypt leads the region and holds the ninth position worldwide in online freelancing, opening new horizons for job opportunities as well as future growth and innovation. This leadership coincides with the implementation of the new Labor Law No. 14 of 2025, which recognizes modern work models such as freelancing, remote work, and digital platform-based employment.
