Officials attending the meeting included Alaa Nagy, CEO of the Holding Company for Food Industries, Hossam Al-Garahy, Assistant Minister for Control, Ahmed Kamal, Assistant Minister and Ministry Spokesperson, and Ahmed Essam, Assistant Minister for Political Communication.
Farouk said the "Ahlan Madaris" fairs are a key
ministry initiative, organized with chambers of commerce and other relevant
bodies, to ease the financial burden on families during the back-to-school
season, as well as Ramadan and other holidays.
The main fairs will run consecutively from September 1 to
September 30, offering substantial discounts on school supplies, including
stationery, uniforms, shoes, and bags. This, the minister noted, ensures
families can meet their needs with guaranteed quality at reduced prices.
The fairs are timed to coincide with the summer sale season, providing citizens with an even broader opportunity to purchase necessities at competitive prices. The minister said this reflects the ministry's commitment to securing essential goods and promoting market stability.
