The factory will be built on 181,000 square meters in the
Sokhna Industrial Zone, with an investment of $85 million (EGP 4.1 billion).
The project is expected to produce 27 million square meters
annually, with 90% exported to international markets and 10% for the local
market. It will create approximately 500 direct jobs. The contract was signed
by Ahmed Gamal, Vice Chairman of the Authority for Southern Region Affairs, and
Lu Xinfeng, shareholder and authorized signatory for the Chinese company.
Walid Gamal El-Din said the Sokhna Industrial Zone opens new
opportunities for high-value manufacturing and supports industrial exports. He
noted that the project adds significant value to the zone and reflects the
success of SCZone’s promotional tours in attracting foreign direct investment
across various industrial sectors.
He added that Jiangsu Zhengyong is a leading global company
in the flooring industry, and establishing a factory in the economic zone
provides competitive advantages due to the strategic location and advanced
infrastructure.
Gamal El-Din emphasized that the project supports the
Authority’s efforts to localize industries and deepen domestic manufacturing,
boosting Egyptian exports and strengthening global supply chains amid rising
demand for high-quality flooring products. He also highlighted that SCZone
continues to attract high-value investments, creating new job opportunities and
promoting sustainable development.
The project is a result of SCZone’s promotional tour in
China in July 2025, which included a meeting with Jiangsu Zhengyong at a forum
in Nanjing, Jiangsu Province. The company specializes in PVC, WPC, and SPC
flooring and has achieved notable success in global markets, making this
investment a strategic step to expand its presence regionally and
internationally.
