Dr. Ahmed Ghoneim, CEO of GEM, said that during this period,
the museum will carry out several organizational and logistical tasks in
preparation for the opening ceremony. He added that the museum will reopen to
visitors on November 4 during its regular hours, coinciding with the 103rd
anniversary of the discovery of King Tutankhamun’s Golden Tomb, offering
visitors the complete museum experience.
Notably, the museum has been operating a trial opening of
certain areas since October 16. New official opening hours for these areas were
introduced in February. GEM welcomes visitors year-round, from 9:00 a.m. to
6:00 p.m. daily, with extended evening hours every Wednesday and Saturday from
9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
