Dr. Mohamed Farid was received today by the leadership and members of the Financial Regulatory Authority (FRA) to extend congratulations following the issuance of Presidential Decree No. (421) of 2025. The decree renews his appointment as Chairman of the FRA for a one-year term, with the rank of Minister, effective from Thursday, August 7, 2025. This marks the beginning of his fourth consecutive term leading the Authority.

Dr. Farid expressed his gratitude and appreciation to all colleagues, leaders, and members of the FRA for their efforts during the past period, describing them as a cornerstone in the sector’s development process. The integration of these efforts has enabled the FRA to achieve a significant portion of its targets across various areas, in line with its vision to enhance the role of non-banking financial services in supporting and strengthening the national economy. He highlighted the major progress in digital transformation, which has brought significant improvements to markets and stakeholders, enabling companies within the sector to attract foreign financing and investments. He also emphasized sustainability efforts through greater activation of the voluntary carbon market.

He stated that the financial regulatory sector continues on its path toward reinforcing its role in supporting the national economy, driven by dedication and hard work. He stressed that sincerity, integrity, and competence are fundamental principles for achieving the goals aimed at raising Egypt’s stature.

The Chairman affirmed that ongoing modernization and development efforts are designed to align with international best practices, boosting the efficiency and transparency of Egypt’s financial markets, enhancing their attractiveness to investors, and supporting the national economy.

He reaffirmed his commitment to ongoing reform and development, saying, “Efforts will be united to strengthen the role of non-banking financial services in supporting the national economy and achieving stability and growth for this vital sector.” He added that the Authority is focused not only on issuing regulations and legislation but also on maximizing its developmental and societal impact on the people, society, and economy, a challenge that demands continued effort and perseverance.

He concluded by calling on all employees to maintain hard work and teamwork, emphasizing that achieving targets depends on unified efforts and a shared vision for the benefit of Egypt.
