The project is part of a ministry plan to provide infrastructure that attracts investment and supports new urban development.
According to Elsayed Ibrahim Amin, head of the Badr City
Development Authority, the connection was made after testing new medium-voltage
cable lines and routes for the district. The new link will ensure a stable
electricity supply in the district and prevent the frequent power fluctuations
and outages that were previously occurring due to urban expansion. The
project’s electrical lines were connected to two outgoing feeders.
Amin noted that all electrical connection work was completed
after a trial run. The project aims to provide electricity to all real estate,
residential units, commercial and administrative establishments, and factories
in the city, which has seen significant construction and a rise in occupancy
rates.
The project was implemented under the supervision of a team including Abdel Nasser Mohamed, deputy head of the authority for electricity and projects; Hisham Badr El Din, general supervisor of the electricity department; and Hadeel Adel, director of the electricity department, with follow-up by Mohamed Ali and Abdel Qader Ibrahim from the authority’s maintenance and electricity departments.
