Fawzy stated following the Cabinet meeting that all units
will pay a fixed rent of EGP 250 beginning in September 2025. This amount will
be applied immediately until each area is classified as economic,
middle-income, or premium.
He clarified that when an agreement is reached between the
tenant and the landlord, the government will not intervene. If no agreement is
reached, the landlord has the right to reclaim the property, and the tenant will
be presented with several alternatives.
He stressed that eviction will not be enforced by law. Legal
eviction can only occur through a court ruling issued upon a formal request by
the landlord after the legally prescribed period ends.
