El-Sisi made the remarks during an early morning visit to
the Egyptian Military Academy, located at the State Strategic Command
Headquarters in the New Administrative Capital. Lieutenant General Ashraf
Zaher, Director of the Academy, received the President upon his arrival.
Presidential Spokesperson Ambassador Mohamed El-Shenawy
stated that the visit began with President El-Sisi performing the dawn prayer
alongside cadets. The President then held a direct meeting with the students,
expressing his deep appreciation for the academy’s leadership, faculty members,
and cadets.
El-Sisi stressed to the cadets that the academy has become
more than a training ground for men. The institution now serves as a beacon for
preparing both men and women and for building well-rounded Egyptian
personalities capable of addressing the challenges of the modern era across all
state institutions. The President praised the academy’s training programs
offered to civilian leaders and highlighted their importance across multiple
fields.
He addressed the domestic situation by reaffirming Egypt’s
internal stability. The President noted that the state's policy of transparency
and credibility has proven effective throughout the past ten years.
He pointed out that Egypt has faced significant security
challenges for over a decade. The President added that the country has managed
to overcome these challenges and continues to make visible progress despite the
complex regional environment.
El-Sisi referred to current geopolitical developments,
including the war in the Gaza Strip, and noted their impact on revenues from
the Suez Canal. The President stressed that the economic reform agenda remains
on course and called on Egyptians to maintain unity and cooperation to overcome
difficulties and achieve national development goals.
He expressed strong interest in scientific advancement. The
President emphasized that social media platforms are not inherently harmful and
that their impact depends on how they are used. The President warned against
the misuse of social media to spread false information and undermine morale,
noting the increasing awareness of the Egyptian people.
President El-Sisi addressed foreign policy matters by
stating that the Arab region has experienced exceptional circumstances since
2011, well before the events of October 7, 2023. The President said this
reality validates Egypt’s balanced foreign policy, based on non-interference
and respect for national sovereignty.
He warned against attempts to divide Arab societies through
the media and emphasized the strength of Egypt’s relations with fellow Arab
nations. The President stressed the need to overcome disputes in order to
preserve Arab unity.
He affirmed that Arab national security is an interconnected
structure and that Egypt is an integral part of this system. The President
cautioned against foreign interventions aimed at destabilizing Arab countries.
El-Sisi addressed the situation in Gaza by highlighting
Egypt’s extensive efforts since 2007 to prevent escalation. The President
acknowledged that the Palestinian people are the ones who suffer the most in
any conflict. The President described the current destruction in Gaza as
unprecedented and reiterated Egypt’s commitment to stopping the war,
facilitating the delivery of humanitarian aid, and supporting efforts to secure
the release of hostages and detainees, despite media campaigns seeking to
undermine Egypt’s pivotal role.
El-Shenawy reported that the President observed the morning
physical fitness parade of the academy cadets. The President praised the high
levels of physical strength and confidence demonstrated by the students during
the exercises.
El-Sisi joined the cadets for breakfast and engaged in open
dialogue with them. The President emphasized the importance of commitment to
training, academic achievement, and awareness of current domestic events,
regional issues, and international developments.
He concluded the visit by wishing the academy cadets success
in their future roles. The President extended his gratitude to their families
for their vital role in raising a generation prepared to serve the nation and
contribute to a safer, more stable future.
