PM reviews ACUD projects, promotes development model

Prime Minister Dr. Moustafa Madbouly reviewed on Tuesday the work of the New Administrative Capital for Urban Development (ACUD) company, emphasizing the government's commitment to the project as a model for smart, green, and sustainable cities.

During a meeting with Finance Minister Ahmed Kouchouk and ACUD chairman Engineer Khaled Abbas, Madbouly underscored the government's close monitoring of the company's projects and investments.

Prime Minister's Office spokesperson Mohamed El Homossany said that the meeting focused on updates regarding ACUD's various projects and services, including those in the diplomatic quarter. This area, with its advanced infrastructure and high-end services, is one of the company's largest investments in the new capital's first phase.

The discussions also addressed ACUD's long-term urban planning strategies, which are aimed at enhancing the city's sustainability in line with Egypt's Vision 2030.

Engineer Abbas highlighted the company's commitment to sustainable urban development and its efforts to share the new capital's development experience with other countries. He cited a recent visit from the Deputy Prime Minister of the Democratic Republic of Congo, who was exploring cooperation opportunities for a new urban extension of Kinshasa, describing the new capital as a "pioneering continental project" that reflects Egypt's leadership in urban planning.

Abbas also mentioned an agreement made during a late June visit to Madagascar to form a joint committee to facilitate technical cooperation and oversee the implementation of a new administrative capital there.

In addition to international cooperation, Abbas reviewed various recreational, educational, artistic, and sports projects within the new capital, noting they all align with the city's developmental vision. The meeting also covered the total investments, job opportunities created, and the operational service projects in different districts, including the government district, as well as the company's future plans.
