The minister also held talks with Nasser Al Yafei, CEO of
Arceus Energy, and the accompanying delegation.
Badawi expressed Egypt’s interest in launching strategic oil
and gas projects to enhance cooperation with the UAE. He also stressed the
strong support from Egypt’s political leadership for the energy sector,
including continuous directives to support investors with flexibility and
transparency.
Dr. Al Jaber reaffirmed the UAE’s commitment to long-term
investments in Egypt’s energy market, reflecting the solid and longstanding
ties between the two countries.
Al Yafei praised the efforts of the Egyptian Ministry of
Petroleum and Mineral Resources in maintaining energy security, describing the
talks as constructive and aligned with mutual interests. He pointed to
promising opportunities in the Eastern Mediterranean—including undeveloped
discoveries and new exploration prospects, as potential drivers for expanding
the company’s operations in Egypt.
Badawi was accompanied by Dr. Samir Raslan, Head of the Central Department for Agreements and Exploration; Nasser Shoman, Head of the Central Department for Petroleum Transport and Marketing; and Dr. Mohamed El-Bagoury, Supervisor of the Central Department for Legal Affairs.
